To all my fellow autism mommies and parents keep marchin' on!
Perseverance and optimism is a necessity as an autism mom, and in the families of those that love and care for a child with autism.
From the moment I first heard this song I have called this my theme song. It has so many meanings for me, for my son, for my family.
I dedicate this song to all children with autism and all families that do what they do to make all things possible for these special kiddos!

Vegetarian Greek Sandwich Filling
A filling sandwich spread full of nutrients and a great source of protein. A great alternative to tuna (tuna contains the highest levels of mercury of all fish and food sources, see http://www.grinningplanet.com/2004/08-10/mercury-in-fish-article.htm) which was once my favorite type of sandwich until I was aware of all the harmful effects, especially for pregnant women, infants, young children, those with neurological disorders, and those with autism.
Yield: 3 Servings
Sandwich Filling
Ingredients
1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
1 stalk celery, chopped
1 green onion stalk, chopped (may use onion of your choice, onion powder, or as much/little/none at all)
1 tablespoon mayonnaise (to taste or use salad dressing of your choice)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/5 teaspoon dried dill weed
salt and pepper to taste
Directions
1.Drain and rinse garbanzo beans. Pour garbanzo beans into a medium size mixing bowl and mash with a fork. Mix in celery, onion, mayonnaise (to taste), lemon juice, dill, salt and pepper to taste.
2. Use on whole grain bread, or your favorite pita bread or flatbread. Add plain nonfat Greek yogurt & spoon across bread. Add seasoned salt on top of it. Just a sprinkle on top of the yogurt. Then add the sandwich filling. Fold it & enjoy!

"IF" by Rudyard Kipling
My brother posted on Facebook that he found an old book of poetry that he had in elementary, and had not picked it up in years. In the book he found a poem and he stated, “The poem pretty much hits it on the head and is quite applicable for our time.” I find this poem to be pretty deep. More is to be learned from this than just the words that are written in this poem. Enjoy!
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
Kipling is the author of these two well-known great works.

This video was created as a plea to Merck, the FDA and the CDC to stop all Gardasil vaccination
Moms, please watch this before your daughter is vaccinated with Gardasil or if your daughter has been vaccinated with Gardasil.
The evidence of harm caused by the Gardasil vaccine is overwhelming and not worth the very questionable benefit.
- In 2008 alone, the FDA documented 6,723 adverse events.
- In 2010 there have been a total of 20,727 Gardasil-related adverse events, 90 deaths, 8,600 emergency room visits and 2,000 hospitalizations after Gardasil vaccinations.
- Plus, only less than 10 % of all adverse events following prescription drug or vaccine reactions are ever reported.
Gardasil does not protect against all types of HPV (human papilloma virus), and you can still get cervical cancer even if you have been vaccinated. Even the National Cancer Institute says, "It is important to note that the great majority of high-risk HPV infections go away on their own and do not cause cancer."
Report side effects to the FDA at http://www.fda.gov/medwatch/ or 1-800-FDA-1088 (1-800-332-1088).
Also report with VAERS at http://vaers.hhs.gov/esub/index online, by mail, or by fax.

Box #84504 Nike Air Jordans
Aydee, if you purchase this box, I will throw in the Polo Jeans with the belt & the Urban Up polo shirt.
S. Perrone, if you purchase this box I will throw in these.The active wear shorts from ProSpirit, the grey t-shirt from Faded Glory, the Urban Up Pipeline shorts with belt, and the ProSpirit baseball shirt. They all fit like a size 12 despite what is on the tags. I get my sons clothes together & separtate by small, medium, large sizes. For example, the size 8 shirt fits like a 12 & the size 14/16 fits like a 12. I've been doing that because I myself have received clothes that were too small or big for the size I was wanting despite what it says on the tags.
